Riley made such a positive difference in my mom’s stay there! She has a wonderful sense of humor that my mom really responded to.
Riley is one of the nicest, most attentive nurses. She checked on me constantly to ensure I was OK. When you are sick and need help, it eases the mind to know someone like Riley cares.

My mom was hospitalized with respiratory failure. This was the first time she had experienced this and had never been diagnosed with COPD in her life, so it was a very scary time for us. Especially so for my mom, because even though she worked in a hospital for over 40 years, she has an extreme fear of the medical establishment and has avoided it for her own care as much as possible in her 85 years.
Her nurse while she was hospitalized at Hillcrest was Riley. Riley made such a positive difference in my mom’s stay there! She has a wonderful sense of humor that my mom really responded to. She is so knowledgeable and made everyone so comfortable. After one of my mom’s heart tests, she asked Riley questions about it. Instead of giving a basic answer, Riley drew a detailed picture on the board and described everything to my mom in such a way that made it so easy to understand. I know nurses have a heavy workload, but Riley was so attentive and focused that she made my mom feel like she was her only patient while she was with her. I’ve been hospitalized numerous times in my lifetime and have had many experiences with many wonderful nurses. But I have to say that Riley is truly at the top of that list. What a gem she is! Many thanks to her for making such a difficult time a little easier.
