February 2016 Honoree
Rioliz Weaver, RN
I had surgery done by Dr. B in the morning. The nurse, Rio, started her shift that afternoon and I immediately felt to be in capable hands and relaxed. She has a warm, genuine smile and a caring, confident, and professional manner. She did not seem overly distressed that my blood pressure was low, as my normal blood pressure is low. I tested her composure, grace, and stomach when she cleaned up my diarrhea from the prior evening’s bowel prep, and later my vomit on the floor after lunch. She checked on me with a minimum of disruption and helped me with my breathing treatment when I had a temperature of 100.8. When the hospital wing closed due to too few patients, she apologized and helped move me, and continued to take care of me until the morning shift change.
Thank you, Rioliz, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
