March 2024 Honoree
Rita Dean, RN
My mother was a recent stroke patient who was discharged home with home health care. Rita has been very diligent and punctual while demonstrating great patience working with my mother, who not only has a language barrier but also is slow in following directions. When my mother’s blood glucose started fluctuating, Rita put in a request to extend her home visits for improved stability and continuity of care for both the patient's and family’s comfort.
Rita not only educated my mother, but she also educated our whole family regarding fingersticks, checking her blood pressure on a daily basis, and medication management/education. Rita is a team player with good communication skills, so my mother received physical therapy and occupational therapy in a timely manner. Rita’s visits helped my mother to recover quickly. We were very blessed and lucky to have Rita Dean as her visiting nurse.

Thank you, Rita, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
