Rita exemplifies professionalism, skill, compassion,and integrity. She is truly a role model for us all. She is well-respected throughout our facility by her patients, co-workers, department directors, physicians, and administration. Rita does "Sacred Work" every day that she is here. Whether talking with patients, families or co-workers, that gentle assertiveness is always there and it is because of this quality that people find her presence so reassuring. Rita's loyal service of 20 years to the nursing profession and to Dunn Memorial speaks volumes. She precepts new emmployees, assists with unit leadership, and participates actively in committees to improve care to our patients. Rita always has a kind word, a smile and a sympathetic ear. I can't think of a better example of "loving care" than Rita.
