My husband was in the hospital for 32 days. Rita was one of the nurses I met. Her knowledge of stroke patients has helped me tremendously throughout this journey thus far. Her bedside manner has not only brought many laughs to him but has also made him feel very special as well. She has pushed him to be independent as well as trying to teach me to let him be more independent.
Any questions I have had throughout our stay, Rita has been the nurse that I sought out. I wish I could take her home with us! We look forward to the day he can walk back into his unit and tell her himself how much she meant to him. We will be leaving on Tuesday with hearts full of happiness on how far he has come and sadness because of the friends we have made and are leaving behind. It is now time for someone else to experience Rita and begin their journey of healing.

Rita is above and beyond an incredible nurse. She is truly an asset to her patient and goes above and beyond to make patients and their families comfortable. She is always reassuring and has always kept us well informed as to my husband's care and needs. Her knowledge of all aspects of medicine in her field is very evident and always made me feel reassured that my husband was in the best hands. Her outstanding personality and compassion made us feel so much better being here. Her laughs and smiles will always be remembered. Rita was so understanding when she welcomed us to the 3rd floor. She recognized our fears and reassured us by giving us the answers we needed. Her continued care of us has been exceptional. She went above and beyond caring for us and we can't thank her enough.
