I had a patient who was newly diagnosed with diabetes. Had been in DKA twice within ten days and needed a lot of education throughout her admission. Rita answered every call and went above and beyond by coming to the room multiple times to help explain her new diagnosis. The patient expressed being very grateful for her help and that Rita was an "ANGEL". The patient was finally able to be discharged and stated she felt that she felt so much more comfortable going home this time after all the education provided during her stay. Thank you for always helping us with our diabetic patients.
