I came to NRH after my 9th back surgery (lumbar fusion 2-4). The pain was not controlled at a previous hospital, which led to entire body spasms and unexpected numbness in both legs where I couldn’t walk. After being admitted to NRH, I was fortunate to have Nurse Rita for 3 of the 6 days of my stay. I had a lot of nurses in my 12-day hospital/rehab, but Rita was by far the best nurse I had. She was compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and strong! I credit her for my early discharge.
