Rita Stull, RN, Emergency Department at Methodist South Hospital is always mentioned in Patient Care Surveys as an outstanding nurse who consistently delivers professional and compassionate care. Recently, a couple from Minneapolis sent the following letter praising Rita’s care. The letter reads: My wife and I began a trip from Minneapolis to Jamaica for one last relaxing trip before the arrival of our first born (my wife is five months pregnant). Midway through the flight, I experienced heart related issues on the airplane. Following the terrifying flight and transfer from the airport, we arrived at the Emergency Room at Methodist South Hospital. I am writing to thank you for everything that occurred from there. The staff in the Emergency Room was professional, friendly, and diligent throughout our entire stay. I felt that I was in very capable hands every step of the way. In particular, I would like to thank Nurse Rita (I did not know her last name) who was amazing. I can not describe how nice and comforting it was to have someone with such compassion and a genuine caring attitude when I was going through something so traumatic. While no one ever wishes to be in this kind of situation, it is people and the care received that makes the difference. Both my wife and I want to extend our most sincere thanks to Rita and the entire Methodist South staff.
