Riyam is like a breath of fresh air. I was admitted for afib issues and I was just there for the same thing. I was feeling so depressed and defeated. Riyam brought so much joy to me. This nurse went above and beyond to keep me comfortable. She checked on me constantly. She made my stay so pleasant. I was actually excited when I knew she was assigned to me. Riyam kept me laughing constantly. I can actually say I love her because she’s really a good-hearted person and I can tell she loves what she does. I’m sure there are other good nurses out there, but for me, she’s the best. I know she has a personal home life, but I get so sad when she leaves. This hospital has a goldmine on its staff and doesn’t realize it. If I could, I’d give her a raise for all she does.

Being a nurse is hard work and she does it effortlessly and with a smile. Just last night her shift ended at 7 pm and she came to say goodnight at 9 pm. I couldn’t believe she was just leaving and believe it or not, she still had a smile on her face. So for me, Riyam stands for Reliable, Inspiring, Youthfulness (energy) Affectionate, Magnificent.
