The compassion and caring he displayed for me were unparalleled.
I went to the Swedish Mill Creek because I couldn't breathe and was in extreme back pain. I was admitted to be transported to First Hill, and while I waited, I crashed and died. They saved my life, and in the process, they moved me to First Hill and then ICU Cherry Hill. When I woke up, I was on ECMO life support for advanced lung failure. I know my stay in the ICU on ECMO wouldn't have been as successful without Robbie. He made it a point to help me communicate when I couldn't speak, he was in contact with my family on my cell phone and played music for me that I responded to. I know my recovery wouldn't have been so successful without him. He has worked directly with me for the majority of my stay, and even when he wasn't my shift nurse anymore, he made time to check on me. The compassion and caring he displayed for me were unparalleled. I know my 11 days on this unit were made better by Robbie.
