Robert Allen, BSN

I am nominating RN Robert Allen for the DAISY Award because of the exceptional care, compassion, and dedication he has consistently shown during one of the most challenging medical experiences of my life. For months, I suffered from severe neck pain and several other serious health issues. Throughout this time, Robert was always responsive, supportive, and deeply attentive to my concerns. Robert listens without judgment and asks thoughtful, meaningful questions.

When I visited the UW Emergency Department, he proactively followed up afterward. He recognized that the care I received did not fully address the complexity of my condition, and he immediately coordinated with my primary care doctor to arrange additional testing. Because of his persistence and teamwork, they were able to identify the underlying cause of my pain, something that had gone undiagnosed for far too long.

Thanks to Robert's advocacy and thorough follow-through, I am now on a true path to recovery. After suffering for months, I cannot express how life-changing it is to finally experience relief. His compassion, clinical insight, and genuine dedication to veterans are evident in every interaction. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that I feel cared for, informed, and supported. Robert Allen exemplifies the very best of nursing, and his impact on my health and well-being has been profound. He truly deserves this recognition.
