I was working OB completely by myself with an induction patient. At 6:00 a.m. the patient requested an epidural about the same time EMS called and said they were bringing in a labor patient. I called for Robert who was House Supervisor that night and he quickly came to OB to sit in while my patient got her epidural. While he had never done this task before but was very quick to agree to help in any way he could. I love working when Robert does because I know I can count on him if anything walks in the door to help with putting orders in, taking specimens to the Lab, and setting up a delivery table.
