Everyone who knows Bob knows that the DAISY description fits him perfectly.  From his totally extraordinary (to what may be extraterrestrial) imagination to his professionalism and caring nature, he is the picture of a caring, professional nurse educator.  His extra time on blogs and super IT ideas that engage students and his donation of personal time to help students learn in the best ways for them are wonderful examples of his caring nature coming through.  He is also straightforward with others.  One male student who had a passion for LONG braided locks, baggy pants and less-than professional actions and demeanor was in Bob 's headlights. The young man was very bright in the classroom and in clinical.  Bob took him aside and helped him understand the profession of nursing and its respect for professional dress and demeanor.  He complimented the young man on his intellect and abilities, but said that if he ever wanted to be taken seriously in the profession, he had to lose the hairstyle and dress accordingly.  His caring demeanor made it easier for the young man to "hear" what he was saying.  Bob is a jewel and a wonderful role model of our profession.
