Robert, you taking the time to listen made me feel heard and safe.
I am writing because I want to recognize your patience, positive attitude, and kindness; you exemplify the ideal temperament of a healthcare professional. You listened to me and took your time in gathering my medical history, which I greatly appreciated. When you called me, I had been feeling unwell for over a month, and I was scared and uncertain as to when I would feel better. I had no answers and nothing made sense. You taking the time to listen made me feel heard and safe. I am happy to report, as I communicated to you yesterday, that I feel like myself again and all the diagnostic tests show I am in good (subspecialty) health.
As you know, I met with (the doctor) yesterday, and he too was attentive to my situation. I forgot to tell (the doctor) about my positive experience with you because I was a bit nervous and he and I spent a fair amount of time on my history. You are an asset to the Miami Cancer Institute and Baptist as a whole; patients that cross paths with you are fortunate. May God continue to bless you, your family, and your career.
