We brought our son, a Marine Vet, into the ER in August. He was 28-years-old with terminal cancer. He had become very disoriented and off-balance. Those were new symptoms. The ER needed to draw blood for tests. Robert was brought into the room to access his port for the blood draw. He was so kind, compassionate, and caring while working with our son. We learned his calcium level was extremely elevated. He would need to be admitted into ICU. Robert told the ER staff he would personally transport us to ICU. He offered to get food or anything our son needed and told the staff to take good care of him.
The next day, Robert recognized me in the hall and asked me about our son. He visited him each day he was in the hospital. Sadly, we lost our son. However, we wanted to let you know that although you may not remember us, we remember you because you made such a difference in that situation. So we needed to tell you, "you make a difference" and "stay you."
