Robert Remien, RN

Robert was nominated by a coworker who has noticed this person’s manner with patients, knowing instinctively how to put patients at ease by explaining the plan, and perhaps telling a joke or two. Robert has impressed our Diabetes Educator, noting that she will very often receive a message from him at 2 am, along with background information on the patient, and specific educational needs.

There is one specific incident that has been impressive as we have worked our way through challenging staffing situations: Robert had an assignment of many, including more than one Covid patient as well as a SCU patient with severe dementia, was on anticoagulation and multiple IV drips that had been removed by the patient. This patient needed one-to-one attention, and The Medsitter was attempted to be used, but was unsuccessful due to situations at CMMC. There was never any frustration shown as our Robert worked through all situations of the shift and kept this patient safe with kind intervention and redirection. This is just one example among many that his co-workers can mention that makes us lucky to have Robert Remien on our TEAM!
