Roberto Domenzain, RN

I would like to nominate (Rob) Roberto D for the DAISY Award in recognition of the exceptional care he provided to my aunt during her final days. He was the primary nurse who truly stood out during such a difficult time for our family. He cared for my aunt with compassion, consistently checking on her comfort and needs, while also making sure our family felt supported. He took the time to answer all of our questions with patience and clarity, never making us feel rushed or dismissed.

What meant the most was the empathy he showed, not only toward my aunt, but toward all of us as we navigated her passing. During a time when I had begun to feel discouraged about the direction of healthcare due to previous experiences, he restored my faith through his kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism. He demonstrated what true nursing care should look like: respectful, compassionate, and patient-centered.

Our family will always be grateful for the dignity and comfort he provided, and for the lasting impact he made during one of the hardest moments of our lives. Thank you, Rob!
