Robin took all of the time she needed to answer questions and at the same time, she provided a ton of reassurance.
I had a hard time finding the right location for my check-in and even leaving early did not help. This is a hard facility to navigate and I became anxious but as soon as I checked-in, I was taken back to Pre-op and met my nurse. Robin Brown’s million-dollar smile and calm demeanor was exactly what I needed. She helped me decompress quickly. Then, she provided an excellent pre-op briefing to my wife and me. As an older patient, I was a little anxious and my wife was as well. Robin took all of the time she needed to answer questions and at the same time, she provided a ton of reassurance. Her skill level of starting the IV was painless and I am a hard one to hit the first time...so this really impressed me. I was surprised at how little anxiety I had during the procedure. I could not have asked for a better team to help me. She was just amazing to watch. Her interactions with coworkers were over the top. She stayed ahead of things by getting everything done efficiently so that she was never far away from me. She has a presence that provides reassurance to help me know I was being taken care of by a pro. It was obvious that she was highly skilled and knew what she was doing. There was a slight delay in getting the final x-ray going. She took care of it and got everything rolling. We were obviously confused as to where we parked and she made sure we got to the right place. I told her that if she was a fedex pilot, she would have a lapel full of the awards that we call a "Bravo Zulu" which is a Navy and Marine Corps tradition for "well done". She is a nurse and an employee of the highest caliber. I was blessed and so fortunate to have her in my corner to care for me. My wife feels the same way. I am grateful beyond measure as the day started off badly and she totally turned it around. In a few words, she is amazing.

As someone who has been in the hospital before for emergency surgery, I have been through a lot in my life, but never what I experienced this last time. First of all, I arrived late, was lost and a bit upset. I had come to have a procedure and if it had not been for Robin Brown, I probably would have walked out and said forget it, even though it was important and needed to be done. It was not enough that I had gotten lost and was running late, but I had some concerns, was nervous about the whole thing, and I do not like needles. I prefer not to have any near my body. Robin made me feel at ease from the time she introduced herself and apologized for me getting lost. Then she proceeded to explain everything. She talked to me and made me feel a little better, and if that was not enough, she brought in her backup. I want you to know my nurse made me feel so at ease and kept reassuring me until the concerns had dissipated. She made me feel so good, comfortable, and reassured about the doctor and nurses who would be taking care of me during the procedure. She even took the time to pray with me. Only someone with a heart would do that and I love her for it. I appreciate the care and patience she took with me because as the procedure was going, I was a bit of a mess, but her soft voice and gentle touch kept me sane. Upon leaving the procedure room, she was waiting for me and that made me feel extra special.
Big kudos to this nurse! She is top notch. Thank you for what you do.
