Being in healthcare, I was nervous having a procedure in an unfamiliar facility, but I knew I would receive exceptional care, but was extremely nervous, as I am right-hand dominate and have not had emergent surgery in the past. While in PACU the doctor prepped me for a block, which increased my anxiety even higher as I had never had this procedure done before. Robin was right there by my side during the procedure making sure I was okay.

When the block was completed Robin sat right next to my stretcher. Robin was very soft spoken to assure that the other PACU patient did not hear our conversation. She probably wasn't aware of how nervous I was at first prior to the block, but her just sitting there speaking to me took my mind off the procedure ahead. We spoke the entire time, which really calmed me down. She made sure that I was relaxed and all my questions were answered. She is an exceptional nurse.
