"Hi, I’m Robin like the bird. I’ll be your nurse tonight. I promise to take good care of you until the morning, is there anything I can do for you now while I’m here?" This is how Robin greets each of her patients at the beginning of her night shift. All of her patients love her. The readmits ask for her personally. They know she will go above and beyond to take care of them. She is truly a patient advocate. I have witnessed her praying for her patients and loved ones at the bedside, also asking them for permission to place them on the prayer list at her church. She has given money towards personal items, clothing, or just a ride home. Robin has 40 plus years serving as a nursing role model. I have had the privilege of working with her for over six. Her clinical knowledge is beyond exceptional and we all benefit from her wisdom. There are so many adjectives that I could use to describe Robin... but I will only leave you with one ...COMPASSIONATE!
