Robin cared for a post-operative patient who was refusing to have his dressing changed. Robin was the only nurse that was able to talk with him to explain the importance of having the dressing changed as the physician ordered. As Robin built the relationship with the patient, he began trusting her and eventually let her change the dressing. The nominator wrote:
