She answered all my questions after also talking with the fetal cardiologists about my surgery, and she just really brought my anxiety down.
Robin has already gone ABOVE AND BEYOND in our care for our child who is still in the womb and will be born requiring open heart surgery. From our diagnosis at 20 weeks pregnant, her phone call just to schedule us (which she got us in next day!) put our minds at ease. Upon meeting her for an entire day of testing and meetings we already felt so much better. Our talk with her probably lasted over an hour, and even though she had other things on her schedule she came back to check on us throughout our appointments. Contacting her about our daughter through email she always responds in an extremely timely manner.
She makes you feel important and that you matter! I think the most “above and beyond” thing I can say about Robin that impressed me and made me and my unborn child feel so cared for was when I ended up in Northwestern’s emergency room for my gallbladder, which I was being told I needed to have removed while pregnant. This was SO SCARY for me, especially with the diagnosis for our daughter we received just a week prior. I called Robin from the ER and she picked up (I wasn’t expecting her to!) and all I had to say (sobbing lol) was that I was in the ER at NM and she was like “I’ll be right there.” Robin met me in the ER and my family wasn’t there yet; my husband was out of town, and she just made me feel like a member of my family was there to support me. She answered all my questions after also talking with the fetal cardiologists about my surgery, and she just really brought my anxiety down. She sent a few emails to check on me throughout my stay as well.
Robin CARES. She goes above and beyond for her patients, even those that don’t have a little voice yet because they’ve only been alive 21 weeks! You can tell she has a true passion for her job, and she deserves to be recognized because of it. Robin, you’re seriously our rockstar, our angel on Earth!!!!
