The patient who sent in the nomination used the MLKCH CARES values of Caring, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence to describe her nurse. The nomination reads: "C is the giftness in her eyes and touch even when she is not in her department. C is for always going above and beyond to help or get back to her task at hand. A is even though she may not know, she will do her best to be accountable to get the answer. R is for knowing when it’s time to say no and back down while also being over no one’s boundaries. E - I have seen her stop to help when she is on break or getting food for herself and is excellence in healthcare.
