She is open to new ideas to provide safe patient care.  She encourages us to build routines for safe patient care to avoid falls, pressure ulcers, or any other hospital-acquired infections.  She also comes up with inventive ideas to implement far better patient outcomes.
Robin is one of the best managers I have had the pleasure of working with and for. She is always available to talk and has a positive attitude. She takes the time to invest not only in her team but also in patients who need a little more "TLC." Robin's office door is always open, and the candy dish is always full. Robin is a great example of Leadership in a sometimes stressful and thankless job. What a wonderful Human Being and nurse!!

I want to nominate Robin Turner for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award. I feel lucky to have her as my manager. She is supportive and encouraging to the staff. She advocates for staff. Robin is constantly looking at our schedule and calling or texting nurses, techs, and secretaries when we are short. I appreciate that about Robin and how she looks out for us. She is also very accessible. Whether in her office, email, texting or calling; her office door is constantly open, and I never feel that I am bothering her or unwelcome. Robin makes people feel comfortable approaching her. I like seeing her out on the floor helping and at the RRTs that are called.  Robin does these things for patient safety and shows that what she asks of us, she too will do.  Robin has a good attitude and is a positive person. She is also good at communication, especially with forwarding emails to us. I like staying informed. She is open to suggestions to improve our unit and build morale. Robin makes you want to do an excellent job.

Robin has been a compassionate leader always.  She has helped the unit by going above and beyond her role and responsibilities.   Robin helped with discharge appeals when a patient needed to go to a facility. She helped make arrangements for a young patient to go to MRI at Advanced Radiology twice and coordinated care with orders from neurology and communicating needs to advance radiology and pulse transport.  Robin has been an active listener to the concerns we have on the unit and provides us with resources for education for changes happening to the unit and organization.  She has been a role model for compassion, respect, and offering a helping hand when needed.  Robin orders wound care orders for patients with a Braden scale below 18 for pressure injury prevention.  Overall, Robin is the best!

I want to nominate Robin Turner as an excellent nurse leader.  Robin is an excellent unit manager.  She regularly communicates with her staff through email, staff meetings, and huddles.  Robin makes sure that we are aware of new policy implementations, current policy changes, or the introduction of any new nursing practice.  She is always there for us when we have questions or concerns about patient care, resources, or scheduling.  Robin exhibits compassion towards patients and her staff.  There have been multiple incidents in which Robin has helped us change and clean patients or reposition them when we needed extra hands.  She is not the manager who sits in the office and does not help staff to provide patient care, but when under/short-staffed for any reason, she helps as a charge nurse.  Robin thrives on delivering excellent care to patients in our unit.  She is open to new ideas to provide safe patient care.  She encourages us to build routines for safe patient care to avoid falls, pressure ulcers, or any other hospital-acquired infections.  She also comes up with inventive ideas to implement far better patient outcomes.  Robin treats everyone with respect.  Her door is always open for us to discuss any concerns we have.  She is an excellent team player.  Robin strengthens us as one team.  I feel like I grew a lot as a new nurse under her leadership.  She encouraged me to join the Shared Governance Council and Clinical Ladder, which I feel is very helpful for my professional growth.  Robin is an excellent leader.
