Robin Waters began working for UPHS in 1984. Robin has served as a staff nurse, nurse manager, director of nursing, and interim CNO twice. Robin is a nurse's nurse always looking out for the interest of the hospital and the nurses who work here.
In March 2020, at the onset of a health pandemic, Robin agreed to serve as interim CNO, despite being one year from retirement. Robin's leadership throughout this pandemic has been remarkable. She has balanced her nurturing style against patient needs and the reality of this disease.
Lifepoint offered on several occasions to bring in an interim CNO. I refused because I knew Robin was the best person to lead this hospital at this time. It may have been the best decision of my career.
