April 2020 Honoree
robin weimern, RN
Qualities of a true nurse in my eyes should be:
-Makes us feel like a special guest, tending to our every need without making us feel guilty for asking
-Always shows genuine concern and listens, making us laugh and smile, easing a tense moment at hand
-Is an advocate for his/her patient, communicating between the patient and doctor(s)
-Does not leave his/her shift until the arriving shift understands the patient's current situation and upcoming tests/procedures to be done
-Follow-up care/concern for the patient's welfare, even when off duty
Robin Weimern performed all of the above in a professional, caring, and sincere way for my husband. When your loved one is really in bad pain and hurting, to have someone with true compassion reach out to you like a family member, real nursing is accomplished. Robin is a God sent servant. She is an outstanding example for her fellow nurses on the performance of the calling of service to others.
