November 2015 Honoree
robyn mclaurin, RN
My uncle went for an outpatient procedure. He was supposed to go home the same day. Unfortunately, his heart stopped beating and they had to do CPR. It is assumed a heart attack since he went into fatal heart rhythm. An external pace maker was placed, and he was eventually transferred to the ICU. I would like to say the staff is amazing. They treated my family and uncle with dignity and respect. His nurse, Robyn McLaurin, was amazing. She let us come back to see him right away and did everything to keep him alive long enough so that my handicapped grandmother could see him before he passed. Please recognize the nurses in ICU, especially Robyn, who went above and beyond. They hugged us, cried with us, and we watched them give their all when my uncle coded and ultimately passed.
Thank you, Robyn, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
