There are very few people who would have taken on the challenge that Robyn did. A friend of hers became a patient here at Colquitt Regional. He was a very sick young man and essentially had given up on living, or so it seemed. The bulldog came out in Robyn and she would have no part of this attitude so she set about making plans, she made regular visits in the hospital, began learning and tending to his personal interests as well as his medical affairs. He slowly made progress, she knew there was only one place she would feel comfortable for him, her own home, where she made sacrifices for him. Consistently she goaded, humiliated, forced and begged him to try. Now he is ready to go back to his own home where he is prepared to live his life; cooking, cleaning, taking meds correctly, and just enjoy being alive. He literally owes his health to Robyn. She took him in with open arms and her compassionate heart. Five months later, a very happy ending to a situation that at one time was almost fatal.
For these reasons Robyn, one of the most competent, courageous and committed people I know, deserves this DAISY Award.

Robyn was very patient and helped explain things. She always had a smile on her face, even when she was very busy. She showed she cared, took her time and tried her best to make sure my needs were taken care of. All the nurses and staff on this floor were great, but Robyn stood out and went beyond just doing what "had to be done". We appreciate all her hard work and especially her friendly personality and smile!
