I stayed with my mom when she was admitted and was upset and worried that I did not do enough for my mom before we ended up at the hospital. I felt so very guilty. Roena was so understanding and kind to my mom and I and she counseled me at the time I needed it most. She shared her thoughts and personal experience that helped me feel not so alone. My mom is still battling with her condition and we take it day by day, but Roena's words have been with me ever since that first night. When things get hard, I take advice and kindness that we experienced into mind and it gets easier to be in the now and do the best we can.
