There have been many times when a patient would ask for Patricia specifically by name because she had gained their confidence.
I have known Patricia for 12 years and have been witness firsthand her unwavering compassion, dedication, and commitment to her patients and their families and to the community as a whole. She is the epitome of a nurturing and caring nurse who strives to do her very best in providing quality care and is always willing to lend a helping hand to her team members when needed. Patricia has demonstrated great strength not only in providing medical care to her patients but in offering emotional support in midst of a pandemic that has also severely impacted the mental health of many, especially through their losses. She has comforted them through their worst fears. She has sat down one-to-one with many patients who have been contemplating taking their own lives by suicide and gave them Hope again.
There have been many times when a patient would ask for Patricia specifically by name because she had gained their confidence and they felt comfortable talking about their problems and sharing some of their most intimate thoughts which are imperative to their recovery. That speaks volumes in her uncanny ability to communicate to those who are hurting and that patients entrust her with their care. I can honestly say that I admire Patricia for not only the nurse that she is but her unselfish ways in always putting the needs of others first. This may sound like an old cliché, but she truly does go above and beyond to help others, and never expecting anything in return. She is one of the most genuine, down-to-earth people that I have ever had the blessing to know. I sit back sometimes and think that she has no idea of how appreciative we are for all that she does and thus I decided to write this in hopes that she will know how much of a difference she truly makes every day! She is indeed a true Hero!
