Rommel Suba, RN
Rommel is one of the most empathetic and caring nurses I have ever worked with. Rommel consistently demonstrates patient-centered care, even for those patients who are more challenging.
For example, Rommel recently cared for a woman in the ICU who was nervous and confused, frequently calling out for help. Rommel never once became impatient and was always calm, reassuring, and there to ease her fears. Rommel listens to his patients when they voice concerns and does an excellent job educating patients about their care.
Rommel is also an excellent team player. You can always count on Rommel to do his job well and ensure that all the nurses in his area are also staying afloat. When I am working alongside him, I never have to worry because I know he will always have my back.
Rommel's ability to remain calm in critical situations and continue delivering the best care to his patients should not go unnoticed. I cannot think of a more deserving nurse for this award. He embodies what a Guthrie nurse should be!
