Ronelle is an exceptional Nurse Practitioner and truly exemplifies everything a pediatric provider should be! Ronelle is constantly kind, compassionate, collaborative, innovative, and top-notch.
One example (out of the MANY) of Ronelle being outstanding is the time she spent the afternoon with one of our liver transplants. The patient and family were going through a hard time and the patient was having a hard time with so many new faces. Ronelle's patient load that day was low so she collaborated with the family and nurse to spend the afternoon with the patient. Ronelle was able to get the patient to eat some solid food (which was a huge goal for the patient), and the family was able to step away from the hospital to spend quality time together and have a break. Since Ronelle took the time to do this the patient has consistently eaten better and the family's demeanor has changed.
Thank you SO MUCH, Ronelle for all you do on the surgical unit. I can confidently say all the nurses on RC6 enjoy working with you. When asking nurses what their favorite things about working with Ronelle is I got answers like "she is always so positive and understanding," "You can tell she really cares about her patients and families," "She is caring," "You can tell she loves her job," "She is SO kind," and "She is a joy to work with and has a high work ethic."
