Our Campus is proud to announce Roni Mohammed, RN, in the neuroscience intensive care unit, as recipient of the DAISY Award, which recognizes one nurse each month for going above and beyond to deliver exceptional patient care.

“I’m so surprised to be nominated and I just can’t begin to explain how much this means to me,” said Mohammed. “My patients and colleagues mean the world to me and I’m happy that I have been able to support them.”

Roni was nominated twice this past month by a physician and by a patient’s family member. The physician wrote, “Roni is meticulous and vigilant with patient care and responsive to tasks that were neglected by other nurses – no matter how difficult the task.”

The second nomination was submitted by a patient’s wife. She wrote, “There really are no words to express the compassion and dedication this lady has for her job! In our opinion, she single-handedly saved my husband’s life. We have never seen such a hard working nurse. She was always there to comfort, console and provide for our every need. Roni is one of a kind – and Memorial Hermann is blessed to have her on staff!”
