ronnie bates, RN

Ronnie is a super hero/nurse in our ICU. He doesn't think he is anything special but his work ethic needs to be recognized. He is so flexible in the type of patient he receives. On his birthday, he received the sickest patient in the hospital. Without complaining he took excellent care of the emergent open heart surgery patient and their family. He accompanied the patient into the OR and stayed there for hours to operate the specialized equipment. He was allowed to leave the OR for 2 hours, at this time he went and updated the family on his status. He returned to the OR and managed the equipment for another two hours. He stayed over an extra 2 hours taking care of his patient, never once complaining about not getting a break, staying over late and missing the potluck we had for his 65th birthday! He is an everyday hero, thank you for being our hero Ronnie!
