Ronnie Jemison LPN has been working in Jade/Opal Clinic for the past 14 years. Ronnie takes a lot of pride is his work as a nurse, but also as a Veteran. Ronnie is polite and gives each veteran the time they need for each visit.
Ronnie's excellent work as a nurse touches every aspect of the VA Mission. To care for our veteran that has fought for this country. Ronnie has been working in the VA hospital for the past 14 years, prior to that he served in the Army for 23 years. Ronnie has made a personal commitment to himself that he gives every veteran the best care possible during his appointment.
Ronnie has no hesitation advocating for a veteran in need. There was a specific situation that there was a veteran that was having a lot of trouble coming into the VA hospital for his monthly injection. Ronnie spoke with his case manager and as a team effort, the veteran is now able to get his medication injection at home, decreasing the stress on the veteran. Ronnie went above and beyond making sure the veteran needs were met.
Ronnie communicates on a daily basis with all the doctors and nurses, to keep Jade/Opal clinic running smoothly. He makes sure that he is prepared for every veteran in the morning, with their medication. He knows that a lot of our veterans are very nervous coming to the clinic, so at times he uses his sense of humor to relieve some of the stress by telling a veteran a small joke. Ronnie is a great coworker and dependable.
