Rory Levinson, MSN, RN, RN-BC, CEN

Rory exemplifies what it means to be a Jefferson nurse. He welcomed me as a new graduate nurse with very little clinical experience a couple of years back. It was a big career change for me and, of course, I felt uneasy that I might not be able to fulfill the tasks needed to be a competent nurse. Rory, as a clinical coordinator, made me feel supported in my role during orientation, which allowed me to be a more confident nurse today. He continually, to the best of his ability, makes sure he is available to all staff, as seen with his open-door policy. I have also seen Rory make strong connections with patients during rounding. I often hear patients yell out “Hi Rory!” from their rooms as he is walking by.
