One of our patients was very down, depressed, and struggling to come to terms with his post-op situation due to his bowel being perforated during his surgery. This male was only mid 30's and had to be on a colostomy bag, he couldn't see his life past that. Rosa went into this patient's room to speak to him that morning. She gave him a MAJOR life pep talk. She lifted his spirits up and changed his views completely. The patient continuously would let us know how thankful he was for Rosa lifting him up when he was so down. We are all very lucky on 4 East because we get these life pep talks from Rosa every day we work with her.
