Rosa role models extraordinary behavior and is always willing to chip in and help. She has a positive attitude at all times and works side-by-side with staff. Rosa consistently runs the OR board with patient care in mind. She resolves complex problems with calm and vision! She creates an environment of trust, compassion, mutual respect and ethical behavior. She supports staff and surgeons and ensures that all have what they need to get the job done - equipment, supplies, staff, etc. Her integrity, long time stability, and professionalism are impeccable. Rosa mentors staff and especially new nurses. She takes pride in her profession as an RN. She motivates staff with a shared vision and enthusiasm to achieve better outcomes for themselves and their patients. I've seen her, on numerous occasions, consider the patient first and respond to a situation with vigor to attain what's best for the patient. She leads by example. Rosa always promotes and enhances the image of nursing within the organization, the community and the profession with integrity, trust, empathy, sympathy, compassion, leadership. She promotes health and related topics on her time as an ambassador of KershawHealth at her local community events and religious organization.

I have worked in the OR at KershawHealth over 20 years and known Rosa Canty the entire time. She has always been a pleasure to work with, is hardworking, and always has the patient's best interest at the forefront of care. Through the many changes over the years, she has managed with tremendous leadership through hard times. She has been the one constant, and it is my feeling that KH has the staff today largely because of her leadership. I respect her heart to see KH succeed and the fairness with which she runs the department. It is evident in the respect she has from the staff and the physicians.
