Rosa defines what a nurse should be! She's patient, compassionate, informative, and an advocate for not only her patients but their families, too! She took care of my Uncle a handful of times during his month-long stay. Anytime I knew Rosa was his nurse, I knew he was in good hands. She always took the time to listen to our concerns and answer any questions we had. She would contact the doctors and advocate for my uncle when we thought he was getting pneumonia. Because of her efforts, the doctors were able to give him the right medication and treatment to fight against his pneumonia. I can’t thank her enough for taking such good care of him. She taught my uncle, my mom, and myself how to take care of his two drains properly. She educated us and encouraged us. She made us feel safe to go home. A nurse like Rosa deserves all the recognition in the world! On behalf of my Uncle and our entire family, thank you, Rosa. You are the type of nurse I hope I become.
