Rosa even called me on her day off to see how everything was going.
My husband and I were on our way back home to Michigan from Florida when my husband had a stroke in the car. Thankfully he was not driving at the time and fortunately we were near the Elizabethtown exit. I quickly got him to the Emergency room with the help of 911. Upon arriving at the emergency room everyone went into fast mode. They were all coordinated on what to do for M. Procedures were explained quickly and completely along with treatment options. Rosa the stroke coordinator stood beside me with comfort and support to make sure I understood the treatment options available to us. Rosa was not only concerned about M she was also concerned about me. After giving M TPA and I was told he would be in the ICU for 24 hours with no visitors allowed the staff recommended places for me to stay. They were so thoughtful. I was so impressed with the coordination of his treatment between all parties. Everything was done with no glitches. Rosa even called me on her day off to see how everything was going. Rosa showed such compassion for our situation with us being so far away from home. Truly the fact that we landed at Baptist Health was God’s divine guidance. We were totally blessed. M continues with therapy in Michigan and is making progress. Honestly, the level of care was phenomenal and your staff especially Rosa showed so much desire to help us through this very trying time. They worked hard to get us on our way back home. I wish we lived closer because I would not hesitate to continue M's care with all involved.
