Rosanna has modeled extraordinary leadership in her previous Clinical Manager Role and in her new Director of Nursing Quality and Professional Practice & Magnet Program role. Rosanna exhibits critical thinking, decision-making, and emotional intelligence in her current role. She entered this role with an opportunity to increase and promote nursing professionalism. Rosanna is dedicated to promoting nursing professionalism at Chester County Hospital. She is working on increasing nursing certification rates in the hospital. She modeled this by becoming certified in nurse leadership. Rosanna is always looking for new ways to bring education to nurses and now in her new role, she has found ways to bring nurse leaders education. Rosanna is working with a consultant to educate all inpatient nurse leaders on Nurse Leader Rounding. This practice improves staff and patient outcomes. Even though this will not impact her in her role now, she knows how much it will improve staff satisfaction and help Clinical Managers in their roles. She is a member of PONL (Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders) and brings new ideas back to the Hospital from other leading practices. She is always looking for new ways to inspire change in the organization - and often she is the leader/motivator of the needed change in the organization. During her time in the Clinical Manager role, Rosanna brought Continuous Video Monitoring to our organization. She partnered with outside hospitals to see how it could be successful here and now is able to help other hospitals be successful with the program. Healthcare is in a state where we need to look outside the box to find new ways to provide excellent care and Rosanna has her finger on the pulse of change and is not afraid to try new ways.
