Rosanna has been on our unit for 2 years and has brought so much positive change in a short time. She strives for excellence in patient care and is a role model to all staff. She understands the importance of education and empowering the patients; she has created a breastfeeding class, meeting daily, and offering a safe space for the mothers to ask questions and learn one-on-one with a professional. She encourages the nurses to pursue continuing education and continuously informs us about the certification opportunities and classes to attend. She has created a "bookbag" for all NICU mothers that is a care package set up with all the equipment needed for the moms to succeed with breastfeeding, as we know our NICU moms face extra challenges. She is very responsive to patients, as well as staff. She embodies the qualities of the Daisy Leadership Award.
