Rose demonstrates professionalism in the work environment. Her job performance exemplifies the mission, vision, and value of ECMC. She uses critical thinking skills in the delivery of extraordinary patient care, models empathy and demonstrates a caring attitude in all situations. She is an excellent educator of patients and their families with a consistent focus on meeting patient and family goals.
During my mother's stay on Rose's floor, she went above and beyond her role as caretaker/nurse, to ultimately feeling like one of our family. My mother loved Rose in the short time she came into her life. My family and I just felt at ease, at peace, and knew that our mom could not be in better hands while under Rose's care. Our mom came to ECMC with blood clots and her prognosis became poor. She then had Rose as her nurse for 4 days. She did everything in her power to make Mom as comfortable as possible, treated her like her own, just a true angel in the sense of a nurse. Her compassion for others is unremarkable. Her bedside manner just as easy, calm, cool, warm and inviting. When we cried, I saw Rose crying behind the curtain, her passion as a nurse is true, compassionate and what ECMC can only hope that all the nurses strive to be.
