Rosario Rivera, RN

Rose is a compassionate and knowledgeable nurse. She communicates well with every discipline involved in the patient care. Rose is always willing to help her team mates even if she is busy with her own cases. One of her teammates needed assistance with a blood draw and Rose gladly rearranged her visits to help her out and this was outside her territory. If my preceptor is on vacation or not available, she is always willing to take a new orientee or a student nurse with her. I get compliment calls from patients and family members stating that Rose is a WONDERFUL, CARING, COMPASSIONATE and always going above and beyond. Rose Rivera truly deserves a DAISY AWARD. I received a call from one of our patients stating, "She was truly a God-send.” Rose went above and beyond by going to the store after work hours to get her patient diapers, milk and a case of water. The patient expressed her gratitude for having such a compassionate and caring nurse. Rose is always willing to help out whenever we are busy and when offered incentive for a must see, she would say: "It’s OK the Patient needs help, I will triage my other patients to accommodate the visit.”
