Rose is an exemplary role model as a nurse. She models the 4 core behaviors each and every day. Rose always puts her patients first, not only in patient medical care but also in patient comfort, safety, satisfaction, and outcome.
Purposeful execution: watches for test results, communicates them to physicians in a timely manner, ensures safe discharges assuring all needs are met.
Trust working together: navigates seamlessly among all disciplines to communicate between them and facilitate excellent care for her patients.
Transformational Leadership: other team members look up to Rose for guidance, education, and support as an expert in her field. This is especially evident in emergency situations on the unit but also in day to day tasks.
One of the best examples of Rose's dedication to patients was during a routine patient d/c to home. PCA was taking a patient to the car, the patient coded at the entrance, the PCA used the walkie-talkie to call Rose, Rose flew down the stairs in response and administered CPR until the rest of the medical team arrived. This patient survived and recovered. Rose always goes the extra mile to make sure her patients are comfortable and safe, and families notice this. Thank you for everything you do every day!
