er compassion, sense of humor, dedication, knowledge, and calm presence make a meaningful difference every single shift.
Rose consistently goes above and beyond for her patients and teammates on the 4th Floor Medical unit. Her compassion, sense of humor, dedication, knowledge, and calm presence make a meaningful difference every single shift. Rose has a special way of making her patients feel seen, valued, and cared for. She takes time to listen, explain, and comfort—especially when patients or families are anxious or overwhelmed.

Her kindness shines through in every interaction, and her gentle approach brings a sense of peace even in the most stressful situations. She is also a great advocate for the nursing students who visit our floor for clinicals. I recently witnessed a student experience a needle stick injury, and Rose went the extra mile to make sure the student felt safe and supported. She even gifted the student a small bag of candy tied with a gauze bow to cheer her up. The item was small, but the sentiment was huge.

She is also an incredible team player. Rose is always willing to help her coworkers, find answers to the tough questions, and step in wherever she’s needed without hesitation or complaint. Her professionalism, empathy, and quiet strength set a beautiful example of what nursing is all about. Our unit is a better place because of her, and I am so grateful to work alongside such a genuinely caring and skilled nurse.
