Rose Marie C Johnson, RN

Rose Marie is a phone triage nurse for our unit. She works closely with her patients, and they all know her well. She received a phone message from an established patient. When she listened to the message, she felt like the patient’s speech was off, and something did not seem right. Rose Marie called the patient and spoke with him and realized his speech was even worse. She was then able to contact the family immediately and got EMS to the patient. The patient was brought to the ER and ultimately found to have a brain bleed and received treatment. Thanks to Rosie’s quick thinking and assessment skills, this patient received timely treatment. Rosie is truly an asset to the Piedmont family and a wonderful nurse!
