One of the scariest moments of your life is when the doctor says you have to do further testing because you don't know what is happening. As a parent, your heart sinks and Rose felt it with me. She knew me well enough and was supportive and kind. She didn't have to hug me, she didn't have to go through the process and console me, but she did. She opened herself to us and has always treated us as a person, not a chart or case. She helped me better understand and was there like a family member would be. There should be more of her. The longer we stay here the harder it is to leave. As a parent, you feel guilt and sadness and the only thing that helps is trusting the nurse you leave your baby with. You know she will nurture and respect her little patients and that's Rose. She makes me feel like I can leave with no worries.
