May 2026 Honoree
Rose Poulose, RN
I am writing to share my sincere gratitude and recognition for the exceptional care provided to my stepmother’s mother during her hospitalization. A was 90 years old and had been experiencing worsening kidney issues. When dialysis was recommended, she ultimately chose to refuse further treatment, as she was tired of being in pain. As her condition declined over that week, she passed away peacefully early Friday morning.
When my stepmother called me that Friday to share the news, I was completely heartbroken. A was like a grandmother to me. During our conversation, however, my stepmother spoke at length about how incredibly well the nurses, CNAs, and staff treated not only A, but our entire family throughout such a difficult time. She specifically mentioned Rose and asked that I would make sure her kindness was recognized. My stepmother shared that Rose noticed her faith and spoke with her about the Lord. Rose took the time to pray with my stepmother for A, offering comfort, compassion, and peace when it was needed most. Knowing that A was nearing the end of her life, Rose’s actions meant more to our family than words could express.
Together, they created a truly remarkable experience for my family during one of the hardest moments of our lives. It meant a great deal to me to know that my grandmother was cared for in a way I can be proud of. Even through my grief, it brought comfort, peace, and a smile to my heart. I will forever be grateful to Rose and the entire care team for their commitment, compassion, and dedication to their patients and families.
Please extend my deepest thanks to Rose and the staff involved in A’s care.
