Rosemarie (Ro) is a role model for the staff. She sets examples for others while she coaches and leads. Ro goes above and beyond to provide optimal nursing care and comfort to our patients by promoting a safe environment. She is flexible, efficient, and adapts to change in the ever-growing ED environment. She always puts our patients and their families first and works very closely with the entire team to be their advocate. She can be seen teaching and spending those few extra minutes with her patients and their frightened family members; she believes in spending quality time with patients even when the department is hectic. She manages to see the good in all. Her quick wit and sense of humor make working with her for fun and the patients love her calming personality.
Ro is professional and compassionate toward her coworkers. She strives to always do what is right. Patients always feel comfortable in Ro's care as her bedside manner is superb. She is a very dedicated RN who continues to show a passion for nursing. She is a role model for our new staff and works closely with the new staff to help broaden their knowledge and skill. Ro can always be depended on to work during a snow storm or spend the night in the ED in order to be available to our patients the following day. She often takes on the role of Charge RN, which can be very challenging and requires quick thinking. Ro is a valued member of the team and an active member of the Nursing Quality Council. She is truly an asset to this health system. She is frequently sought out by colleagues to be the care giver when their family members are in need of emergency care because they know she will give the absolute best nursing care possible.
